Shady Sam Triumph ThruxtonThis ultra-sleek 2013 Bonneville turned café racer, dubbed ‘Shady Sam,’ was inspired by one of the most famous Triumph race bikes of all time. “The ‘Shady Sam’ is our tribute to the legendary British racing motorcycle ‘Slippery Sam’, which the Japanese manufacturers learnt to fear on the track,” says builder Matthias Becker of Hanse Qustom out of Germany. The original ‘Slippery Sam’ Triumph Trident won five consecutive first place trophies at the Isle of Man in the early 1970s. Return of the Café Racers breaks down the modern twin-cylinder version, sporting full Öhlins suspension, Brembo brakes, PVM wheels and a host of custom touches.
